Program Introduction
Program Objectives
The Associate Degree Program in AI-Assisted Coding aims to educate qualified professionals equipped with AI-assisted software development skills required by the rapidly digitalizing business world.
Students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to learn generative artificial intelligence applications alongside up-to-date software technologies. In addition to becoming technically competent individuals, students are expected to develop into professionals who are conscious of data privacy and social impact and who embrace a vision of responsible technology development.
The competencies intended to be gained within the scope of the program are as follows:
- Building an algorithmic thinking foundation using the Python programming language
- Actively using current technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), agent-based systems, and generative artificial intelligence applications
- Conducting AI-assisted software development, using cloud technologies, and managing software testing processes
- Designing projects that integrate web-based applications, database systems, and cloud technologies with artificial intelligence services
- Analyzing generative AI applications in different sectoral scenarios and producing suitable solutions
- Managing software testing and quality assurance processes with AI support
Who Can Enroll in the Program?
Offered with the flexibility of open education, this program addresses two primary target groups within the vision of lifelong learning and acquiring new skills:
- Young individuals who are beginning university education and planning careers in artificial intelligence and software development. In this context, high school and equivalent school graduates who achieve sufficient scores in the Basic Proficiency Test (TYT) of the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM and choose the program may enroll.
- Individuals who are already working in different sectors or studying in different programs and who wish to transform their work processes by gaining AI-assisted coding skills. Students currently enrolled in a higher education institution or graduates of associate or bachelor’s degree programs may directly enroll in the program without taking any examination.

Evaluation of Examinations and Course Passing
The evaluation of examinations and the course passing system are determined according to the “Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Education, Training and Examination Regulation,” the “Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Education, Training and Examination Implementation Principles,” and the “Anadolu University Open Education Faculty Student Evaluation System Principles,” which were prepared based on the authority granted by this regulation.

Graduation Requirements
Students enrolled in the Associate Degree Program in AI-Assisted Coding may graduate provided that they:
- Successfully complete courses totaling 120 ECTS credits
- Do not receive grades of FF, YZ, or DZ
- Achieve a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.00
- Fulfill all other obligations
Vertical Transfer Opportunities
Graduates of the Associate Degree Program in AI-Assisted Coding are required to take the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) in order to continue undergraduate education from the 5th semester of formal or open education bachelor’s degree programs.
Graduates may obtain detailed information from the “2025 Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) Guide for Graduates of Vocational Schools and Open Education Associate Degree Programs,” which includes undergraduate programs available for transfer, program requirements, and student quotas. The guide also contains principles and rules regarding application procedures, undergraduate program preferences, examination, evaluation and placement procedures, and operations conducted by vocational school directorates and units affiliated with open education associate degree programs.
