Program Objectives
The Associate Degree Program in Turkish Language and Culture is an international educational program designed not only for individuals of Turkish descent living abroad but also for people around the world who wish to learn Turkish as a foreign language. The primary objective of the program is to educate individuals who can use Turkish effectively in academic, social, and professional contexts while promoting Turkish culture on an international scale.
Within the scope of the program, students have the opportunity to develop their language skills systematically and progressively through a comprehensive Turkish preparatory education structured at the A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1 proficiency levels. Students who successfully complete the preparatory program become eligible to continue to the two-year associate degree program.
During the associate degree phase, students are offered interdisciplinary content related to Turkish literature, the geography of Türkiye, cultural values, social structure, and everyday life, in addition to courses designed to enhance advanced language competencies. As a result, students not only learn Turkish but also gain a multidimensional understanding of Türkiye’s cultural and social landscape.

The program is delivered through a two-stage educational model: a one-year online Turkish preparatory program followed by a two-year associate degree program. Students who successfully complete the preparatory program become eligible to enroll in the first year of the Associate Degree Program in Turkish Language and Culture.

Within the scope of the program, students have the opportunity to:
- Develop the ability to understand, interpret, and express themselves academically in the field of Academic Turkish,
- Gain insight into the traditions, social life, and cultural values of Turkish society within the scope of Cultural and Social Structure,
- Evaluate Türkiye’s historical heritage, tourism potential, and role in international relations in the fields of History, Tourism, and Foreign Policy,
- Examine the historical development of the Turkish language and significant works of Turkish literature.

Assessment and Evaluation
Academic performance is monitored through a transparent, reliable, and sustainable assessment system. The evaluation process consists of a midterm examination and a final examination administered each semester.
Examinations are conducted through a secure online proctored examination system, ensuring the integrity of the assessment process and enabling students to participate safely and confidently.
Graduation Requirements:
- Successful completion of at least 120 ECTS credits,
- A minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00 out of 4.00.
