The Associate Degree Program in Agricultural Technology aims to train technical personnel who are knowledgeable about field-crop cultivation, horticultural crop cultivation, and protected cultivation systems; who know the basic principles of plant diseases, plant pests, animal breeding and feeding, and aquaculture; and who are familiar with seed production, classification and storage, seedling and sapling production techniques, and the processing of agricultural products into food. The program seeks to graduate individuals who possess technical knowledge and experience in preparing products for market and increasing their value; who recognize agriculture as an economic activity; who understand how natural resources and climatic data can be utilized in agriculture; and who are versed in current knowledge and practices in soil structure, plant nutrition, ecology, and landscape, with a strong awareness of environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.
